Launched in 1765 as a first rate ship of the line and a favourite with admirals for her sailing ability, HMS Victory fought in three major sea battles.

The last of these was Trafalgar on 21st October 1805 where, carrying the flag of Admiral Horatio Nelson, she was the first to break the French-Spanish line.

HMS Victory is now open as a museum in Portsmouth, England, where she remains the oldest commissioned warship in the world.
